800 Watt Front End PSUs for Datacom & Storage Applications

Ismosys has celebrated its recent pan-European rep/stockist agreement with Total Power Solutions®  company Tectrol Inc by releasing details of  a new family high-density / high-efficiency front-end power supply modules specifically designed for demanding Datacom and Storage applications.

The Tectrol TFE-800-48 front-end PSU modules deliver 48 VDC @ 16.67A, with greater than 90% efficiency. Housed in a low-profile 10” x 3.3” x 1.6” package and suitable for 1U or 2U  mid-plane system architectures, the modules feature an I²C digital interface; Universal AC Input with Active PFC; Auxiliary 3.3VSB @ 1.0A; Hot-Swap Capability; Droop or  Single Wire Current Share; Remote on/off; and Remote Sense.  All TFE-800-48 units are RoHS 6/6 compliant and safety qualified to cTUVus EN60950-1 and CE Mark (LVD). MTBF has been verified at greater than 500Khours (Telecordia SR332 ; 40°C; Full Load).   The status of the module is fully reported by a series LED Indicators provided on the front panel of the modules.

Tectrol’s TCPR-1521 power shelf accommodates up to four TFE-800-48 modules. The power shelf may be configured in a dual “A” or “B” channel configuration to cater for both redundancy and output power options.

Evaluation quantities of both the TFE-800-48 front-end power supply modules and the mating TCPR-1521 power shelf are readily available. Production quantities of TFE-800-48 modules are priced around $170 and are currently on a lead time of 16 weeks.  A full datasheet is available for download at  http://www.tectrol.com.
