- Flagship SABRE32 Reference ADC delivers 127dB DNR and 0.0001% (-120dB) THD+N
ESS Technology, a specialist in high performance audio/video semiconductors has introduced a new flagship audio converter to its product portfolio to enable audio enthusiasts to both capture and reproduce music with unsurpassed fidelity
The ES9102A SABRE32 Reference ADC is a new two-channel 32-bit analog-to-digital (A/D) converter targeted at consumer applications such as audio pre-amplifiers, audio processors, A/V receivers, turntables, and professional audio applications such as recording systems, mixer consoles and digital audio workstations.
The new audio converter utilises ESS’s patented 32-bit Hyperstream™ ADC architecture. Outperforming all existing solutions the ES9102A SABRE32 Reference ADC delivers 127dB DNR and 0.0001% (-120dB) THD+N with unsurpassed sound stage to satisfy the most demanding audio enthusiasts.
The ES9102A SABRE32 Reference ADC implements a 32-bit programmable decimation filter and outputs the full 32-bit resolution in I2S mode, or 24-bit resolution in SPDIF mode. A digital high-pass filter is available for DC removal. Additionally, a programmable 8-band biquad filter is implemented for RIAA or custom equalisation.
The ES9102A SABRE32 Reference ADC supports synchronous SPDIF or I2S master/slave output, or asynchronous I2S slave output relative to the master clock for up to 384kHz sample rate and consumes less than 200mW.
ESS’s pan-European Representative/Stockist Ismosys is sampling the ES9102A SABRE32 Reference ADC today in a 48-LQFP package, which it supports with associated Evaluation boards and datasheets. For details of availability please use the enquiry form provided on this website
