New name for Casio Displays

- EL and TFT LCD range features Blanview strong-sunlight viewable displays

Following its recent acquisition by Japan’s Toppan Printing Co. Ltd., the small and medium-sized organic EL and TFT liquid crystal display division of Casio Electronics has been spun-off into new company Ortus Technology Co Ltd (Ortustech).

Targeting sales of circa 40 billion yen in fiscal 2012 the new company also accommodates Toppan Printing’s existing display manufacturing business, which includes production of new high quality, low cost versions of organic EL displays jointly developed by Toppan Printing and Casio manufacturing..

Ismosys offers 's Ortustech’s entire range of forty-four EL and TFT displays ranging in screen size from 2.2 to 6.5 inches – some with touch-screen functionality - which target demanding industrial applications such as hand terminal, POS, factory automation and office equipment, etc. Twenty-two models in the range feature Blanview technology which Casio developed to service the demand for strong-sunlight viewable displays. Banview LCDs exhibit vibrant spectral colours and pure whiteness with high contrast and little chromaticity-shift even when a low power backlight is in use.
