InvenSense’s proprietary Micro Electromechanical Systems (MEMS) technology has produced the world’s first and only integrated dual-axis gyroscope that supports the high volume, low price and small size requirements of consumer products.
InvenSense’s MEMS gyroscope is an integrated dual-axis gyro (IDG) sensor designed for consumer and industrial applications requiring low cost, small size and high performance. IDG product families leverages InvenSense’s patented gyro, and Nasiri-Fabrication process technologies incorporating wafer-scale integration to deliver unprecedented cost, size, functionality and high volume production benefits.
The IDG family includes all the integrated electronics required for complete application-ready functionality. Factory trimmed scale factors eliminate the need for external active components and end-user calibration. The IDG gyro is lead-free and Green Compliant.
InvenSense’s IDG gyros products have been designed into digital still cameras and camera phones for image stabilization, GPS devices for dead reckoning, and 3D peripherals (e.g., 3D mice, TV remote controllers, game controllers). There are numerous digital still cameras that incorporate the company’s integrated dual-axis gyros that are on the market today. We offer three families of dual-axis gyroscopes to address different consumer markets:
IDG300
Not for new Designs - Last time Buy 22nd June 2009. Measures a wide variety of dynamic motions for applications ranging from gaming, user interface control and gesture-recognition to radio-controlled helicopters, toys, robotics, power tools and platform stabilization.
IDG500
Enables user definable gesture control, dramatically reducing button clicks with a 500 °/sec full scale range on a dual X/Y gyro.
IDG650
Enables precise 3D tracking of rapid game controller movements from 500 up to 2000 °/sec. The Wii MotionPlus is based on the IDG-600 family.
IDG1100 Series
Measures hand jitter for image stabilization applications in digital cameras, camera phones and security cameras.
IDG-1215
Optimized for personal navigation devices for dead reckoning with its 67 deg/sec full scale range, auto zero and temperature sensor features.
